This award honors a for-profit business in Kitsap County that has a proven record of making a positive difference in our community. Factors considered are donations given to local nonprofits or persons in need, sponsorship of and involvement in local nonprofit events, employee donation matching programs, paid time off for employee volunteer activities, encouraging employee volunteerism, promoting leadership in the nonprofit community, and the general spirit of philanthropy and dedication to the community.

Please include with this nomination form a written statement addressing the following three areas in as much detail as possible. Please don’t be deterred by the questions. Just provide the information you have. The more information you can provide, the better your nominee’s chance of receiving the award.

1. Description of overall gift support and general approach and philosophy to philanthropy and charitable support.

2. ​For each major cause or organization supported, include a description of the ​

   • philanthropic support 

   • innovation and creativity in addressing the issue or cause 

3. Description of the nominee’s work encouraging and motivating others to get involved with and/or take leadership roles in philanthropy.
