Help your clients give smarter! Encourage your clients to maximize their charitable impact by donating appreciated assets during the Kitsap Great Give—a 24-hour community-wide giving event.
Since 2014, this annual movement has generated over $17 million in support of hundreds of local nonprofits, strengthening the organizations that make Kitsap a vibrant and caring community.
Why give on March 11th? While donors support their favorite causes year-round, the Kitsap Great Give creates a unique opportunity to amplify their generosity. Last year alone, 3,323 donors contributed $1.46 million to 363 nonprofit organizations. Many donors (44%) give to a new nonprofit for the first time, and on average, each donor supports 2.64 organizations. This broad participation highlights the event’s power in expanding community giving.
The event benefits nonprofits of all sizes, including many smaller, volunteer-run organizations that are often overlooked by large funders. Nearly half of participating nonprofits operate solely with volunteers, and one in three donations supports organizations addressing basic human needs. This means every gift plays a crucial role in sustaining essential services across Kitsap County.
Thanks to generous sponsors, every donation goes further. Sponsors help underwrite event costs, contribute to a bonus gift program, and fund incentive challenges that encourage greater participation. The Kitsap Great Give is also an exceptionally efficient fundraiser, with a cost of just $0.12 to raise $1—far below the industry average for special events.
Giving smarter maximizes tax benefits for your clients. Whether giving to longstanding community pillars or discovering new causes, donors who participate in the Kitsap Great Give help ensure the long-term success of the nonprofit organizations that serve our region.
Join us in making a lasting impact on March 11th!
